BPO.MP attends the Digital Transformation Conference 2024 in Quang Tri Province

On October 4, 2024, in Quang Tri province, the Quang Tri Provincial Digital Transformation Steering Committee organized the Digital Transformation Conference 2024 with the theme “Innovative Digital Applications for Socio-Economic Development”. This event was held in response to National Digital Transformation Day and Quang Tri Digital Transformation Day (October 10).

Attending the conference were the Vice Chairman of the Quang Tri Provincial People’s Committee, the Standing Deputy Head of the Provincial Digital Transformation Steering Committee, and leaders from provincial departments, agencies, district officials, city representatives, and local businesses, as well as members of the community digital technology group. The focus of the conference was on creative IT solutions in fields such as economics, transportation, healthcare, education, and agriculture, aimed at promoting sustainable development and improving the quality of life for residents.

During the opening remarks, Mr. Hoang Nam, Vice Chairman of the Quang Tri Provincial People’s Committee, emphasized that Quang Tri province recognizes the crucial role of digital transformation (DX) in socio-economic development as a significant opportunity for progress. Over the past period, the Provincial Party Committee and People’s Committee have issued resolutions, proposals, and specialized plans for digital transformation, encompassing over 40 specific tasks across three main pillars: digital government, digital economy, and digital society. An annual budget of approximately VND 40 billion has been allocated, aiming for the digital economy to account for about 10% of the province’s GDP by 2025 and 15% by 2030, gradually elevating the province’s Digital Transformation Index (DTI) ranking to the upper range nationwide.

Key Discussions at the Conference

The participants were presented with essential discussions focusing on new technological solutions to accelerate digital transformation across the province. Notable presentations included:

• “AI Solutions in Digitizing Administrative Procedures”: This proposal suggested the application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) to optimize and automate administrative procedures, enhancing efficiency and saving time for management agencies and citizens.
• “VR360 – Virtual Reality Solutions in Digital Transformation”: This discussion highlighted the use of virtual reality to improve user experiences, presenting new opportunities in tourism promotion, urban management, and education with highly interactive and visual features.
• “Digital Transformation in Agriculture and Rural Development”: Presented by Nguyen Hong Phuong, Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, this talk emphasized the role of digital technology in enhancing supply chain management, monitoring production, and supporting farmers in adopting innovative agricultural solutions aimed at modernizing agriculture and promoting sustainable rural development.

Launch of the Shared Data Warehouse in Quang Tri

In addition, as part of the conference, participants took part in the official launch of the Shared Data Warehouse of Quang Tri province. Establishing this shared database aims to create a digital storage space on the cloud, facilitating the sharing of standardized data, supporting management and operations, and providing open data resources for the public and businesses.
